Description

Baccharis amambayensis (also called Paraguayan baccharis, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to the Gran Chaco region of South America. It grows to a height of up to 4 m and has thin, greyish-brown bark. Its leaves are linear to lanceolate, with entire margins and a serrated apex. It is found in open grasslands and savannas, as well as in disturbed areas.
