Carlina diae (also called Diae's carline thistle, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows up to 1 m tall. It has a basal rosette of leaves and several stems with several lateral branches. It is native to Europe and grows in dry grasslands, rocky slopes and disturbed areas.
