Description

Hieracium melandetum (also called Melandet's Hawkweed, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to the Mediterranean region. It typically grows in open grasslands, scrublands, and disturbed areas at an elevation of 0 to 1,000 meters. It has alternate, oblong to lanceolate leaves that are 2 to 6 cm long and 1 to 3 cm wide. The flowers are small and yellow and the fruits are small, red achenes.
