Brownea coccinea (also called Scarlet Brownea, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the pea family Fabaceae, native to tropical regions of Central and South America. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree growing to 10 m (33 ft) tall, with pinnate leaves and clusters of bright red flowers in summer.
