Chionanthus macrothyrsus (also called Large-flowered Fringe Tree, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree with a rounded crown and a spreading habit. It is native to the southeastern United States, from North Carolina to Florida and west to Texas. It prefers moist, well-drained, acidic soils in full sun to part shade.
