Description
Acianthera zumbae (also called Zumba's Acianthera, among many other common names) is a species of orchid found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It is a small epiphyte that grows on trees in wet montane forests at elevations of 1,400–2,400 m. It has long, thin, green leaves and produces small, greenish-white flowers.

Acianthera zumbae has small, white flowers with yellowish-green sepals and petals. The seed is small and round, with a black seed coat. The seedlings are small and have a single, oval-shaped leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Acianthera zumbae is a terrestrial orchid found in the tropical forests of South America. It is best grown in a well-draining, humus-rich soil in partial shade. Propagation is best done by division of the mature plants. The division should be done in spring or early summer.
