Description

Cynorkis discolor (also called 'White Orchid', among many other common names) is a terrestrial orchid species found in Madagascar. It has an erect stem with two leaves and a single flower. It is found in humid forests, grasslands and scrublands at elevations of up to 1,500 m.

Uses & Benefits

Cynorkis discolor is used in traditional medicine for treating skin diseases, as an antispasmodic, and as a diuretic. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens.
