Dendrobium purpureum (also called the Purple Dendrobium, among many other common names) is an epiphytic or lithophytic plant species in the genus Dendrobium. It is native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. It is found in tropical and subtropical forests, usually on trees or rocks in shady areas.
