Epidendrum ellipticum is a tropical plant that is best grown in a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light. It can be propagated by division or by stem cuttings. When propagating by division, the plant should be divided into sections with at least three leaves each. When propagating by stem cuttings, cut a stem with at least three leaves and place it in moist soil. Keep the soil moist and provide bright, indirect light.
Where to Find Epidendrum ellipticum
Epidendrum ellipticum is native to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It can be found in wet montane forests at elevations of 1000-2000m.
