Description
Epidendrum oldemanii (also called 'Oldeman's Epidendrum', among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Central and South America. It is an epiphyte, meaning it grows on other plants, and is found in wet forests, from sea level to elevations of 1,000 meters. It has long, thin leaves and produces yellow flowers.

Epidendrum oldemanii has a flower with a white lip, yellow sepals and petals, and a yellow column. The seed is small and round. The seedlings are green and have a single leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Epidendrum oldemanii is an epiphytic orchid that can be grown in a pot or mounted on a tree. It prefers a well-drained soil mix and bright, indirect light. Water regularly and fertilize lightly during the growing season. Propagate by division or by seed.
