Description
Epidendrum piliferum (also called Piliferum Epidendrum, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Colombia. It is a small epiphyte with thin, cylindrical stems and small, ovate leaves. It grows in humid forests at elevations of 1000-2000 m.

Epidendrum piliferum has small, white flowers with yellowish-green sepals and petals. The seed is small and round, with a dark brown color. The seedlings are small and have a thin stem with a few leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Epidendrum piliferum is an epiphytic orchid species that is native to Mexico, Central America, and South America. It is found in moist, shady forests from sea level to elevations of 1,500 meters. It can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers bright, indirect light and should be grown in a well-draining, chunky potting mix. Water regularly and keep the soil lightly moist, but not soggy. Feed with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season.
